USB technology has made it simple to utilize and
incorporate different peripherals directly through your
personal computer. Computer printers, digital cameras,
phones, memory, and even video cameras can all be connected
to your PC using USB technology. The technology facilitates
the transfer of data back and forth between the attached
device and your PC. For purposes of this article, we are
going to explore how you can easily transform your personal
computer into a video monitoring station for your
surveillance network with a wireless security camera and USB
receiver.
Wireless surveillance technology and USB receivers are
very popular because they really help simplify the entire
setup process. Utilizing a USB receiver gives you the
ability to easily convert your personal computer into a
video monitor where you can view video feeds directly from
your USB wireless surveillance system. This eliminates the
need to purchase a separate monitoring device, and gives you
the added convenience of being able to view and manage video
feeds directly from your computer screen.
In the remainder of this article, we will seek to review
some of the surveillance systems available on the market
that incorporate this USB technology.
