The use of digital components and advanced wireless technology means there are no extra wires necessary. SpyGadgets.com sells a black and white version of this camera clock for $329.95, and a color version for $404.95.
     
  • Low Light HD Camera with DVR -- The hidden surveillance camera concealed in this clock actually records HD high definition quality video directly to an SD card, which can later be played back on your PC. This eliminates the need for the wireless transmission of video signals to a separate recording device. Direct to TV playback from this device is also available via an RCA cable. You can configure the hidden camera to record based on three recording modes: motion detection, continuous, overwrite, or scheduled. Brickhouse Security sells this camera for $599.95 and it includes the clock, remote, 2G SD card, card reader, and instructions.

Now that you have seen some of the examples of the type of technology that can be built into these alarm clock camera devices, let us consider some of the practical uses for these hidden spy cameras.
