Panasonic is one of the world's largest manufacturers of
electronic equipment. They sell a wide array of products
such as audio and video equipment, telephones, even office
equipment. They have become recognized around the world as
an innovator in the electronics market.
One area of the market they have devoted a lot of
attention to is security products. They offer a
comprehensive security line including video surveillance
cameras, biometric devices, and fiber optic transceivers.
This article focuses specifically on their high performance
line of Panasonic security cameras.
The Panasonic line of security cameras includes a wide
array of choices including dome cameras, IP cameras, black
and white cameras, vandal proof cameras, as well as
comprehensive camera packages. Their innovative approach to
product design and manufacturing, has led them to achieve
several industry first contributions such as the development
of the first digital signal processing camera and IP video
surveillance camera. In addition, the Panasonic CCTV camera
was the first of its kind to be introduced to the market.
In order to get a better understanding of the depth of
the camera products they offer, we will seek to review a
cross-section of their available security cameras.
-
Fixed cameras -- Panasonic offers both color and
black and white fixed cameras. Their fixed cameras are
designed to work best in surveillance applications that
require a set view of a specific location, such as a
building entrance point or hallway. These cameras can be
easily customized with various lenses, which can
accommodate different angles or up-close views. All of
their fixed cameras also contain a day/night feature that
automatically changes the camera mode based on specific
lighting conditions. Their fixed cameras are also equipped
with motion sensors that can triggers event recording or
alerts.
-
Dome cameras -- Panasonic offers several basic
dome cameras as well as special pan/tilt/zoom models.
These PTZ cameras are perfect for surveillance
applications that require more flexibility. The most
notable feature of these cameras is their wide range of
motion that can be achieved with very low noise. Several
unique technologies such as the advanced all-optical
connection between camera and base, and video transmission
using light beams contribute to the low noise of the PTZ
cameras. In addition, Panasonic's PTZ cameras combine both
optical zooms and electronic image zooms that can provide
a magnification up to 220 times.
-
Network/IP cameras -- Panasonic's IP-based cameras
are designed to provide you with the ability to monitor
and control the camera units via an IP-network. You can
perform these functions from a networked PC or even over
the Internet to accommodate viewing from remote locations.
The IP cameras can also easily be incorporated with
Panasonic's other camera models to create a comprehensive
surveillance network.
-
Vandal-proof cameras -- Panasonic's vandal-proof
cameras are designed specifically to withstand a high
level of abuse. The cameras will continue operating even
after intense force or shocks are administered to the
camera itself. While their vandal proof line is not
specifically weatherproof, some models are both dust and
moisture resistant and can be used in some instances for
outdoor surveillance. Panasonic has subjected these
cameras to rigorous test to ensure they maintain their
structural integrity and continue performing under extreme
abuse.
As you can see, the Panasonic line is very extensive. The
technology and features that come standard with their
products are also very impressive. If you are looking for
quality video surveillance products that you can trust,
Panasonic does not disappoint.
