When it comes to security systems, technological
advancements have allowed the recording process to become
much easier. The EchoVue 4-channel digital video recorder is
an example of how much more streamlined the process of
recording, viewing, and saving film on a surveillance system
has become. One box does lets you do so much.
Using an EchoVue DVR system means that you'll never have
to worry about running out of room on a video tape or the
blurry picture that comes from recording over a previously
recorded video. The
EchoVue site lists other great features the system
provides, including:
- Simultaneous recording and playback -- view while you
continue to record
- Remote access -- you view what you're recording from
another location
- 80 GB hard drive, allowing for at least two weeks of
continuous recording
- Motion detection
- Alarm inputs
The 4-channel DVR connects to up to four surveillance
cameras, so you can view your site from different angles.
You don't need special software to watch images from your
computer remotely. And if you want to save hard drive space,
you can set your digital video recorder to only record when
motion is detected.
To purchase your own EchoVue system, check out the
Smarthome website. You'll have the option of buying it
at a flat rate or bidding for a lower cost. You'll also find
links to cameras to work with your system. The customer
comments demonstrate that the EchoVue is an excellent
security system. It could be the right one for your needs.
